Glossary

The terms used in the Partner Programme guide, in alphabetical order.

Attribution
The link between a customer company and the partner who referred it. Set once, by the code at sign-up or first checkout; only staff can change it.
Base
The amount a commission line is worked out on: the invoice amount excluding VAT, after discounts and credits.
Commission line
A record of commission: earn (a payment) or reversal (a refund or void), with the date, base, rate, tier, amount and status (due or paid).
Due
Commission earned but not yet paid out; reversals reduce it.
Find an accountant
The public directory of active partners who choose to be listed.
Kobo
One hundredth of a naira. The portal keeps money in kobo and rounds commission to the kobo.
Marketing kit
Files TroveUniverse provides for partners to download: presentations, one-pagers and logos.
Override
A tier or rate set by staff for a partner, which replaces the reviewed tier until removed.
Partner code
The partner's email address, entered by a customer at sign-up or first checkout.
Partner Terms
The Partner Programme terms and conditions page. Applicants accept a specific version; partners are asked to accept each new one.
Payout
A bank transfer of the commission due for a period, recorded by staff with the WHT deducted.
Practice hub
The Your client companies section of the partner dashboard: the companies whose apps the partner was invited into, with Open buttons.
Recalculate now
A tier review run by staff at once, on sales up to and including today.
Reversal
A negative commission line written when a paid invoice is refunded or voided, in proportion to the refund.
Rolling 12-month sales
The partner's commission bases over the last 12 months, refunds netted; they decide the tier.
Starting tier
The tier new partners are given on approval (Silver unless staff change it).
Tier
Gold, Silver or Bronze: the level that decides the commission rate.
WHT credit note
The document TroveUniverse gives a partner for each payout with WHT deducted, used to claim the tax credit.
Withholding tax (WHT)
Tax deducted at source from commission paid to a partner and paid to the tax authority on their behalf.
