What's new since the September release

Releases 23 to 27 (22–29 September 2026) add the annual financial statements, tighten security and fix the problems found in a review of every app. Nothing needs to be set up again.

What changedWhat it doesWhere
Annual financial statementsStatements, notes and the pages of a Nigerian annual report drawn up from the ledger; editable tables linked to the figures; checks; PDF and Word.25
Consolidated and separate statementsA consolidation group feeds the report; Group and Company columns side by side.25.3–25.5
Journals straight to retained earningsRecognised as dividends, transfers, corrections or other movements, and shown on their own line; dividends accounts show the year only; revaluations credited to the reserve are other comprehensive income.25.3, 25.5
Signing inNo more lock-outs: after five wrong passwords each try waits a little longer (up to a minute). Everyone was signed out once when this changed.1
Confirming your email addressA login must confirm its email address — by the emailed link, a password reset or signing in through troveuniverse.com — before it can accept another company's invitation.3
Supplier bank detailsChanging them needs purchases level 3, is logged and notifies the approvers; a payment batch pays the details as approved and goes back for approval if they change. They are hidden from users without purchases or banking access.4, 21
ApprovalsWhoever created an item cannot approve it, even if someone else submitted it. Imported journals follow the journal approval rules.3, 20, 18
Adding a companyOnly an owner or administrator can add a company, since it is added to the subscription.13
NumberingNew documents skip numbers already used, for example by imported opening invoices.2
Repeating documentsOne that cannot be created stays due and is tried again.17
VAT and WHT settingsChanging them needs tax access.2
EmailsDaily limits per company and per person; the sender is always "company via BookTrove".22
